Potty training tips

So Kanyon is 2, she seems ready to potty train. She tells me when she has to go poop. She does really good. I can't get the pee thing down. Any ideas on how to get this done? Diapers are getting to much, and I am about ready to put Kallie in cloth diapers. So no more money spent on diapers would be great.

So Please help me!

  1. Get the potty Elmo movie from the library. Buy some salty snacks, (raisins, pretzels, crackers, fishy's etc) and juice. Put those in a muffin tin or other dish that can hold them all. Have some reward candy's like jelly beans or some other candy she likes in a box of some sort so it can be the treasure box.
Have a potty party. Plan to not do anything else. Turn off your phone and put it out of site. Watch potty Elmo together and then play. Eat snacks and drink lots. Every half hour take her to go potty and let her pick a treat after. It really is fun. Keep things positive and enjoy some time with just her. If you are feeding Kallie on a schedule, plan Kanyon's potty time around that. Even when you are feeding Kallie, still do something with Kanyon. It really should only take half the day. It worked like a charm with Ben. If she's got the poop thing down then this should be a breeze!
If you have questions, hollar! Good luck!

  2. Don't really have a lot of advice for potty training a girl because well they say it's totally different. But treats or rewards work. Make up a chart and go with her to pick out a special toy and when she gets so many stickers on the chart for going potty she gets the toy. **probably do this after she's kinda got the hang of it a little. Positivity!!! And don't get mad at her for having accidents....this is crutial!! It's really hard to not get mad, but she is still really little and learning. Hopefully she's a LOT easier for you than Patrick was for me!!
