Well Kevin and I have been watching house hunters for so long that we are starting to get very picky with what we want. So now we just look on Ksl for houses. It's something fun we like to do, then on Sunday we took a drive and looked at houses we had found on ksl. We really want a big back yard, something for the kids to run and play. They just don't make houses the way we want. So we got thinking of maybe just buying a lot and building our own, we could build it the way we want and save a ton of money. I think that is a great idea, they only problem with that is TIME. If we build a house it will take lots of time.
Reason number 1. We still need to save for a down payment on a lot. 2. After we buy the lot we need to save for about a year to get another good loan to start building. 3. Kev wants to do it himself, (with help for many,) just not hire a contractor. So we are thinking about it. It would be a long time till we can move. At least 3 years, If we buy a home pre built then we are thinking like 2 years to get a down payment and start moving in. There is just so much that I want in my home, Am I willing to wait to build?

I know sounds long,but when you think about it, that is normal things now days!
