Last day of JUNE

Wow June has flown by. Seems like just yesterday it was still cold and raining. We are happy for the sun though. It is nice to play outside.
Alot has happened this month. We are very thankful for all the prayers that were said to help Kevin get where he is now. We are very blessed to have such great support from our family and friends. We both felt really good about him taking this new chapter in his life. We know it is a drive down to work everyday, but we also have plans to move closer when school is done. Don't worry not for like 2 years.
He had his first day last night, and he said he thinks it will be a great job. He is very excited to go back and learn more. He is on the Electrical Engineering dept. so when things break down he will fix them. He loves to fix things, so this will be a good job for him.

We have done alot this month and still have more to get done. Kevin was able to get my garden all done, we planted a little late, but things are starting to grow. Kevin is still working on the sprinkler system hopes to get it done by school starts. Our back yard is looking better, we planted trees, flowers, and some yellow bushes.
We went to the Doctor and baby is still growing very well, right where she needs to be. I have not had any signs of pre term labor this time, as of last time I was on bed rest all summer, so we are one step above last pregnancy. This little girl is a mover, she does not stop moving, I can feel her at anytime of the day. When I was pregnant with Kanyon, she never moved, sometime I would go like a few days and she didn't move. She is still kinda calm even now. So I hope Kevin and I don't have it in for us!
Kanyon is talking more and more, she can put words together and knows what they mean, she loves to be outside doing anything she can, from spraying Boone with water, to playing in the sand box. That girl loves to be out. It's so dang cute how she gets so excited to go outside, she screams and claps, and just dances, she loves it. It's really fun to watch her grow up. She is a shy girl around new people, but she learns to love people as well.
So that was our month, busy with everyday things, and we are still loving life!

4th Of JULY

I love the 4Th, I have always looked forward to doing something fun. This year we don't have any plans. I know we are going to the ward BREAKFAST, but the rest of the day we don't have plans. KEVIN will get off work at 1 and be home by 2 am, so he wont even be going to the WARD breakfast. But I still need something to do during the day. What are some of the things you and your families have planned? I know we will be going to see FIREWORK'S. We better go at least!!

Potty Training.. Really not so fun

So Kanyon went to the DOCTOR when she was 18 months old, The good Dr. said she is very smart and ready to be potty train. So I am thinking that would be great because I am having baby number 2 and I don't want to change both.
We got a little potty chair and she didn't want to sit or HAVE anything to do with it. So we showed her what is was for, and she got the hang of it. She seems to like it now. OK so now she likes to just sit. She says potty and will go poop. She only comes to tell me that. She wont to the pee thing. I don't know what to do. She pulls her pants down after she goes pee in the diaper, so I think she knows she needs to go. I just don't know how to get her to tell me she has to pee. Any ideas out there? She is ready, she is smart I just want HER to be potty trained before the baby. So HELP! I got like 2 months left!

New Job!

Kevin got a new job! Ya. He starts on Monday. He will be working for Merit Medical. He is in the Engineering part. I don't really know what he will be doing yet. I do know he is very excited and happy to start something in his career. I could not be more proud of him. Down fall is, he works in South Jordan, from 4pm to 1 am. So we will have weekends and the days that I have off. So it will be hard at first, but we can make it work. I am still very excited for this new chapter in our life. It's a big one. Pizza hut has been good for the 3 years we have been married, but I think it's time for something new.

Fathers day Weekend

Ok so this is what WE came up to.
Sharon and Brad's trailer had a tree in it. There was a big wind storm and it was so POWERFUL it knocked over a big tree. Landed right in the trailer. No one was there when it happened.
Didn't stop us from having any fun, Kevin took the kids four wheeling. Brad and Sharon have some they let us use. Kanyon was not too sure about it at first.
Then after a while she loved them, she had a great time with dad, she wanted to go again. She kept saying slide. I guess Kevin took her on a few hills and she thought it was a slide. She had a BLAST
Then came the raft ride on the lake, Kanyon was so EXCITED to go. She was even willing to wear her life jacket. She had a good time on the raft. The bad part, 20 min into the ride she fell asleep. I thought it was really hot and I didn't have as much fun as the boys did. Denny and Kevin could not paddle very fast, they had a hard time with that. I didn't even offer to help. Maybe if I did paddle we would have moved FASTER
I think Kevin was singing a song.
I started getting sick, so I had them go back, it was ok because we were not very far. We got out and had to wait for Kyle's group to come back. This is Kanyon and Landen waiting. Kanyon does not look happy.
But she looks happy here. She smiled the most when she was on the 4 wheeler. Her and Braxton would just play on them for fun. She REALLY wants one now. Maybe one day!
The Carpenter Family also had a good time four wheeling.

So overall we had a pretty awesome trip, the food was good, the people were great, and everyone just had a good time. Causey is a really nice place to take your family. The lake was not to far, and we found some good trails to go on. I loved our weekend. It was nice to spend some time with Kevin. I am very lucky to have him as my HUSBAND. He is a good man and does so much for us. Kanyon just loves her daddy so much. It's really cute seeing them play. I am happy he is my best friend, I am happy I get to spend the rest of my life with him.
Thanks honey for all you do! Happy Fathers day!

Having Faith

I don't ever really talk about spiritual things on my blog, I don't know why. I guess I just don't, but I had a good experience last week I thought I would share.

Ok so you know Kevin works at pizza hut and goes to school, and does side jobs when he can. I work at a day care. Well Kev's been trying so hard to find a job in his field or do something that can give him 40 hours. He looks up and applies almost everyday for something. He gets emails back that just say they have chosen someone else. I know how hard this is on him. I would hate to get email after email saying that to me. I would get really discourage. Kevin he doesn't, he just hangs in there and knows something will come of it. Something will happen. Last week I only worked a few days, as some of our kids don't come in the summer so it makes it less kids. I started to think about money, bills, food, the new baby, how are we going to pay for things if Kevin can't get 40 hours and I only work 3 days a week. So on Thursday when I didn't go to work, I stayed home, cooked dinner and just did things I had to catch up on. It felt good to get things done. I made cookies for a friend who had a baby. I got to read in my book. The best part was I spent the whole day with Kanyon. She loved it. She really needed mommy time. I was sad though that I didn't work. So I went to bed sad and running numbers in my head about how we can get by. I felt a peace come over me, and it was like everything will work out, don't stress about it. We pay our tithing and we will be blessed in some way something will happen.

Friday morning I woke up and had another day off, I was just like ok, that's fine. Kanyon and I spent another day together watching the rain, we started pottie training her, and she did really good. I saw a friend walk by and I stopped her, we talked for a bit. I told her about Kevin not getting 40 hours, and me only working a few days. She said she has been there before in her life, she knows what it's like. We talk about how can I keep from getting discourage. She said have faith. Faith it the only thing I can have without spending money. She gave me some good ideas to cut back on spending, I am cooking more, I even sowed something in stead of buying something new. I am finding things that need to be done instead of shopping, or going somewhere and we can save our money. She also told me that this is a lesson for Kevin and I. It's helping us be strong for one another and help encourage us to keep moving forward. (that's how I took the talk) We talked about blessings and tithing, she has such great faith and knows everything will be ok. I think her faith is starting to rub off on me, because I have not been thinking about bills, or any problems sense we talked. The lord knows where we stand, and he will help us along the way. I can only leave it up to him. As well as do my best and do my part. The lord wont shut the door on our family. He just wont. I now have faith in that.

So Saturday I got up and drove to Butte Montana to drop off my little brother to stay at Rashelle's for about 3 weeks. I was with my mom and we were driving and talking about how life is funny, and sometimes doesn't work out the way you had thought it would. I know from things she has told me that when her and my dad got married he worked at a little gas station and she was home with the children. Granted that was 31 years ago and yes times are different now, but her and my dad never gave up, they always had faith and new things would work out for the best. Well she was right, 9 kids later and my dad has a good job and it's not at a gas station. I thought about that. I thought well I guess Kevin and I are doing good. We do both have jobs and we work hard for our living. I think I just needed a little boost from my mom and talking to her really helped.

Sunday I came home and I saw Kevin and how much he did in the yard and how he was trying to get his homework done, and then we talked about work. He said he did end up getting 40 hours this past week, he went in for people and went in when it got busy. It was like there you go Kim there is a answer to your prayers. The lord was looking out for us. He was able to work 40 hours, not that it will happen every week. I was thankful for his boss having him come in and help, I was thankful for him willing to go in. I know don't see him much when he works late hours, but it's worth it in the end. I went to bed grateful he worked his 40 hours, I have a job, I cooked and fixed things with out spending to much money. I tried really hard to make it work and I think I did ok.
So anyways I just felt at peace at times when I was getting down. I have to trust the Lord and Kevin when he says something will happen. The timing is not right yet. Pizza hut needs him longer then he wants to be there. It will happen and when Kevin does get a better job we are for sure going out to a nice DINNER.
