The Girls

So Kallie is 18 months old. She is learning so much from Kanyon it's so cute. The two of them just are best friends. They play together and kiss and hug, just so fun right now. I am lucky to have 2 wonderful girls. I was looking back and I was thinking man did Kanyon say that at Kallie's age, or was Kanyon doing that? I wish I had more tapes of the Kanyon as a baby. I feel like we do, as I was looking back, but I don't think we did. I am going to try and get Kanyon and Kallie on tape more. I don't want to sit and watch there life grow up so fast. Its sad to see that my little baby is not a baby anymore. I miss that. I love my Kids so much. They are the thing that really keeps me going everyday. And my day has been starting at 7. Not so happy about that, but I would not trade my cuddle time for anything. Kanyon loves to learn. She is learning so much at preschool. She really enjoys it. She is learning about science. Its' her favorite thing. She will ask every night, I need science to take to school. It's fun. She keeps asking about going to a farm, so I think this spring we will take her to a farm. She will love it. Kallie is now in Nursery, she did pretty well on Sunday. She does better if Kevin drops he off and not me. I don't know why that is. Kanyon loves to read books and say her prayers. She is starting to just say the same things over, we are trying to teach her to pray for something different every night. It's so fun helping our kids learn and grow, what a great blessing it is. I just love them so much. I thank my Heavenly Father so many times a day for blessing me with two beautiful girls. Kevin and I are very lucky to have them, as well as each other. What would life be with no KIDS!

Faith

God – Refiner and Purifier of Silver

There was a group of women in a bible study on the book of Malachi. As they were studying chapter three, they came across verse three which says: “He will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver.” This verse puzzled the women and they wondered what this statement meant about the character and nature of God. One of the women offered to find out about the process of refining silver and get back to the group at their next bible study.

That week this woman called up a silversmith and made an appointment to watch him at work. She didn’t mention anything about the reason for her interest in silver beyond her curiosity about the process of refining silver. As she watched the silversmith, he held a piece of silver over the fire ad let it heat up. He explained that in refining silver, one needed to hold the silver in the middle of the fire where the flames were hottest as to burn away all the impurities. The woman thought about God, holding us in such a hot spot- then she thought again about the verse, that he sits as a refiner and purifier of silver.

She asked the silversmith if it was true that he had to sit there in front of the fire the whole time the silver was being refined. The man answered “Yes” he not only had to sit there holding the silver, but he had to keep his eye on the silver the entire time it was in the fire. If the silver was left even a moment too long in the flames, it would be destroyed. The woman was silent for a moment.

Then she asked the silversmith, “How do you know when the silver is fully refined?” He smiled at her and answered. “Oh that’s easy. When I see my image in it.”

If today you are feeling the heat of this world’s fire, just remember that God has his eyes on you. May you have enough happiness to make you sweet, enough trials to make you strong, enough sorrow to keep you human and enough faith to help you endure.

Hard

When life gets to hard to stand, what do you do? I just start praying. Over the last few months I have prayed all the time. I feel like I am always praying. I am reading my scriptures daily and I need it. If I miss a day, I can feel that my day is off. I have never been good at reading. I am glad I am now taking the time to read and pray and come closer to my Heavenly Father. I have felt his love more then I ever have. Its the best feeling in the world. I think as members sometimes we take it for granted. I know I have, but when we have a trial in our life or we forget what's the most important thing and life beats you up, where do we turn to? I have a believe that the Lord wants us to come to him with our problems, big or small. He wants to help us, and in order for him to help us, we need to do the things that Heavenly Father wants us to do. I know I am trying so hard to be like him and do the right things for my family. I can feel the Savor's love more then ever. I am thankful for that. I really do love this gospel and I am happy that I am now feeling the spirit more and more everyday. It a wonderful feeling.

Lady A Concert

I bought tickets for Lady A back in January. It was a sold out show. The best show ever though. My friend Loretta. We had a blast we started it out by going to In N Out for dinner. Yum. Then we went to the concert. It was already packed. Our seats were the way top, like the back row top. We could not see the screen so well, but the music was still awesome. I really had a good time. I was ever more excited that 2 of my other favorite bands were there Thompson Square and Derris Rucker. They all did a great job. I was so happy that Thompson Square sang my song. "Are you going to kiss me or not." loved it.
When Lady A came on it was crazy. They did so good. They sang all my favorite songs and I just loved everything about it. The whole time I sang, I screamed and just danced like crazy. I had a wonderful time. I was very sad Kevin didn't want to go. He was the only thing missing from a perfect night. Maybe next time he will join me. I was lucky that he stayed home and watched the girls. The girls liked spending time with their daddy. Thank you babe for letting me go and enjoy my time. I just am so thankful for him.

Anniversary

So lets start with Feb 10th. Well we both had to work so it was not like we did much. I made Kevin a book that had many good moments in it. From November to the Super bowl. It was not very long but he liked it. We then had Denny and Brittney Green come over for a Jazz game. They lost. But it was still way fun. It was nice to just hangout with the kids and not worry about anything. Sometimes that's the best in life. (right) So Saturday we got up, Kevin played church ball, I went to a work meeting and then we both ended up at home together again. We had planned to go to the DI. Which is always fun. First we went to Lunch at Denny's. Not bad for a quick bite. Then we went to the Di. We got Kevin's mom a TV for 15 bucks. What a steal. (lol) then we just came back and took a nap. I got on pintrest and that never happens so I was happy. We then got ready to go out to Dinner to the Cheesecake factory. I love it. So good. We drive all the way down and it's a 2 hour wait. I am like are you kidding me. We didn't care. We waited anyways. Your friends Lorrta and Shane came with us. They have never been so they wanted to come also. We walked around the fashion point mall and had some chocolate and got our hands all cleaned for a place called Body Bath. (I think), So it's time to go check in and see where we are at with the dinner thing. They said like 45 more min, Yay. We went to the North Face store. (I so wanted anything from there.) It's a very nice and expensive store. Walked out empty handed. We were able to eat and it was so GOOD. Oh I loved it. Our friends enjoyed there time also. The food was great. Kevin and I got a cheesecake and than then came out and sung to us. Yay I love it when people sing to me. I love it. So much fun. We all had a great time at dinner. Worth the wait for sure. I am so lucky to Have a wonderful husband to treat me to my favorite place. Thank you Babe!

5 Years

We have been married for 5 years. We have had some good times and some not so good times, but even when things got so bad and hard, we didn't give up. I am thankful for Kevin in my life. Without him I would not have two beautiful girls, which we love so much. I just want everyone who reads this to know how much I do love Kevin. I know I have told some negative things about our marriage to others, but I also want you all to know what a great loving man he is, a great father to the girls. Kevin is wonderful and puts up with me and all my baggage. (trust me it's a lot.) With out Kevin I don't think I would really know what life is. I use to always think that you fall in love, get married, have kids and that's your life. I know now that everyday you should fall in love with your spouse all over again. I have not done that. I can see the affect it had on us. I do believe that I am now falling in love with Kevin everyday. Kevin has brought me many good days. He brings me joy in this world, I do love him and am thankful for his love to me. We are the type who does not say it daily, and that's ok. I do know that my husband loves me anyways. For the good and the bad. I think that is what true love is. Someone who will love you even when you hurt them the most. I know I have done things in our marriage to hurt Kevin, but he is still here with me. That's love. So to my wonderful husband Kevin. I do love you. I want you to know. I know on our wedding day we danced to the song " The day before you. " I would like to have a new song and this is what it is.
